Eat, Pray, Love: Bali

Many years ago, I read a book about Feng Shui, Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston. Kingston is from the UK but spent much of her time living in Bali. In an article about her book titled, Bali: A Glimpse Into Another World, Karen wrote,

"One reason why Bali is such a paradise island is because the art of Feng Shui is so highly developed there that it is as if the buildings seem to grow out of the very ground itself. They fit so snugly into their surroundings that it looks for all the world as if they have grown from seed and put down roots into the earth. This is why virtually every view looks like such a perfect picture postcard."

Below, I have featured the design of Bvlgari Resort and Spa in Bali. The design is a perfect blend of traditional balinese style and modern design. I love the simplicity and contrast of the white gauzy fabrics against the dark woods. Exquisite.
